200 MILER
Around The Pot is a stunning annual Gravel Race Event through the Overberg region, it is South Africa’s most highly anticipated gravel race, and is considered the country’s greatest gravel race.
The ATP Team is excited to now offer you another version of the race. We’ve gotten creative in an attempt to deliver a package that suits everyone and have thus put together a “DIY Around The Pot” package.
You will now be able to choose between different routes, as well as have the option of doing it in a stage race format.
For the 200 miler our recommendation is to do this in 3 days and riding about 100km each day and possibly adding a 4th day out in the Grootvadersbosch trail network.
We have a list of selected preferred accommodation partners for this 3 days out along the route who will be offering ATP’ers a discounted rate.
This allows us to welcome you to our region year-round, based on the timing that suits your schedule.
Your standard package WILL INCLUDE
Your first night's accommodation in Swellendam
Included in your package is 1 night's accommodation at Aan de Eike Guest house in Central Swellendam. We have also organized safe parking for your vehicle for the days you are out on the routes.
Spot tracker
For your safety, and our peace of mind, we have included a SPOT tracker to be used during your ATP DIY. This will allow your family/ friends, and anyone you’ve shared your tracking link with to follow your progress.
Marked Strava segments on Route
We have 9 strava segments along the 200 miler route.
There are epic prizes to be won when claiming a strava segment!
Discounted rates at our favourite accommodation venues
We have secured discounts at selected guest farms/ accommodation venues for riders who have an ATP DIY ‘passport’ along the route.

From Swellies, with love
We have compiled a goodie bag with all our local goodies inside it!
Your goodie bag will be available upon your arrival in Swellendam, featuring items from our partners, local crafts, and an ATP buff and socks.
On route discount vouchers
We have organized usable vouchers for you to use, which will include free beers and coffee along the route! This will form part of your goodie bag.
Maps and GPX files
Upon booking, you will receive all maps, GPX files, and relevant riding info.
This will assist you in determining how long you want to spend in the saddle each day in order to complete your chosen ATP distance and to choose your accommodation accordingly.
Your official on route passport and stamp sheet
You will receive a passport which you will need to get stamped at various locations along the route. Thereafter, it can form part of your riding memorabilia.
