ACCOMMODATION
TENT VILLAGE AT SWELLENDAM SHOWGROUNDS:
You can book a 3x3m tent with 2x Stretchers, 2x Mattresses, Bedside Table, 2x Chairs, in the tent village at the Swellendam Showgrounds. No electricity or bedding provided - please bring your own.
R600 for one night/2 people = R300pppn (Choose Friday or Saturday Night)
R800 for two nights/2 people = R200pppn
Parking and ablutions available at the Showgrounds.

ENTRIES & REGISTRATION
All Entries and Garment sales will be open from 15 September 2019
Registration will be on Friday 23 July 2021 from 12h00 to 21h00 and also on race day from 05h00 to 06h30 (100miler/60miler/25miler only)
Registration office will be at the Swellendam show grounds.
Please collect and hand in your team support box at Registration:
200 miler - not later than 21h00 on Friday
100 miler - not later than 06h30 Saturday.
Online entries will close on Wednesday 21 July 2021 at Midnight
NO LATE OR ON-RACEDAY ENTRIES
Garment will be available on raceday to purchase.
Please make sure you have collected your support vehicle sticker with registration.
Goodiebags only for the first 500 online entries.
CANCELLATIONS & SUBSTITITIONS
Cancellations
- ALL 2020 entries will automatically carry over to the 2021 event.
- 100% if the event is cancelled due to Covid19 related issues if you have entered for the 2021 event.
- 75% of entry fee is refunded if cancellation is done in May and earlier;
- 50% of entry fee is refunded if cancellation is done in June
- 0% of entry fee is refunded if cancellation is done in July (if at this late stage your partner cannot participate anymore, you will be allowed to do a late substitution, or partake as a single rider. You will be allowed to collect your partners’ race pack. PLEASE hand in the unused bike number-board. Inform the entry office if you will be a single rider and with what other team you will slot in.
– Under no circumstances will an entry be rolled over
Substitutions
Substitutions can be done online as follows:
Email event management with existing and substitute participants ID No.
Also add his/her name and new email address.
The administrative cost of a substitution is R 50; and the substitution will not reflect until such payment has been made.
Once you have made the substitution payment, you will receive a new email confirming the new rider. If you have not received the mail, contact the event management.
Cyclists who have entered and paid, but cannot participate in the ATP Event, for whatever reason, must inform the Event Management. No cyclist is allowed to participate under the name of another participant. Such action will lead to immediate disqualification.
Please note that all team participants, including the race organizer, will be notified of substitutions.
Please note that once a substitution is completed, the original riders’ details will not be kept for future events.
Please note ALL substitutions close on 31 June 2021. Late substitutions can then only be done at Registration @ R 100 per person.
Please note that substituted team participants will receive the clothing size of the initial participant,
RACE RULES & INDEMNITIES
Shortest riding time wins, not necessarily first over the line. This is because of the 45min neutral zone at Malgas Ferry that can be spent at your discretion.

The routes will be marked.

Marshalls must be obeyed at all times.

100 MILER Participants may only receive help team support vehicle at Checkpoint #3

Any kind of assistance from any other source will lead to disqualification.

No littering is allowed on the route, at checkpoints or at the venue.

Please dispose of litter at the water points or in designated rubbish bins.

No smoking or lighting of fires is allowed on the course.

Offenders will be disqualified and may face a life time ban from future events.

The same goes for vandalism of any kind to property, plants and animals as you are riding through Nature reserves

The marked course must be followed by all participants.

Taking shortcuts will lead to disqualification.

Team members in the MTB Race must stay within 2 minutes of each other. Failure to do so at any point in the race will lead to possible disqualification or time penalties.

Malagas Checkpoint #2/#3 Cut-Off is 13h30

Finish line Cut-Off is at 18h00

Race support will be withdrawn at 19h00.
