Around the Pot Gravel Race 2026 – Event Update

Dear Participant,

Please note an important event update regarding the Ouplaas Feed Zone.

In accordance with the UCI Gravel World Series regulations, the Feed Zone at Ouplaas will no longer operate as a 30-minute neutral zone. It will now function solely as an official feed and water point, where riders can top up their bottles and grab a delicious roosterkoek, Coca-Cola and some snacks before continuing their ride.

If you are riding for the experience rather than racing, you are more than welcome to take your time at Ouplaas and enjoy the warm country hospitality. Your support crew will still be able to meet you there, and support boxes may still be accessed at this point.

Hoeks Toyota Kings & Queens of Ouplaas

Although the neutral zone has been removed, riders will still be timed into Ouplaas. These split times will be published to provide riders with valuable race information and, more importantly, to determine the Hoeks Toyota Kings & Queens of Ouplaas.

Thanks to Hoeks Toyota, prize money of R2,500 will be awarded to the first male and first female rider to reach Ouplaas in both the 60 Miler and 100 Miler events.

Please also take note that we have made small changes to the route to avoid the windfarm building traffic. The new GPX file is available for download on the website.

Whether you're racing for a podium or simply soaking up the experience, remember to pause every now and then to take in the scenery, capture a few photos and selfies, and enjoy everything that makes Around the Pot Gravel Race such a special event.
